Transforming our Business and Brand

Wow, what a crazy couple of years for everyone? I may as well use the word,.. unprecedented!

Coincidentally, the Nuttall team embarked on a planned transformation in March 2020, one that would move our business forward.  We began to lay solid foundations in defining a core proposition to our retail customer-base that was itself facing significant change.

We did the groundwork, undertaking detailed research into the retail industry and talking to key contacts across our entire client base about what our customers wanted from their retail interior partners now and for the future.

Of course, cost, quality and timely response were highlighted as decision drivers. Retail brands are looking everywhere to create competitive advantage in the toughest trading conditions, both within their physical trading estates and in the face of the ever-expanding offer from on-line retailers.

And then Covid 19 hit.

It seemed that all the rules changed. And continued to do so on a weekly basis.

Our clients pressed pause on nearly all planned programmes of work and switched their attention to the urgent requirements of keeping customers and colleagues safe.

Looking back on the last 18 months, I’m proud of the way my team responded. We focused our resources, stretched our capabilities and supported our customers with genuine agility, super-rapid responses and innovative solutions.  We’ve certainly played our part in supporting the front-line response provided by UK retailers.

And all the while, in the background, we’ve been doing the work to build our own brand and business with a clear vision for our future. We’ve aligned our offer to our two core strengths. Firstly, combining over 50 years of expertise and knowledge in the design and manufacturing of display fixtures across all retail categories. Secondly, our exacting on-site installation and Principal Contractor capabilities. This gives our customers responsive and flexible, end-to-end support for any, and all, of our customers’ retail interior needs.

We’ve also been able to demonstrate exemplary credentials in managing project installs within trading environments. As many retailers have reconfigured their store formats to bring in branded concessions that enhance the customer experience, we’ve been able to demonstrate our expertise in limiting trading disruption to both our customers and their consumers.

We’ve changed our operating model putting our customers firmly at the centre of everything we do, and in doing so, we’re evolving our own services to support new and emerging requirements in the retail space. For example, our unique refurb and refresh initiatives provide both on and off site, cost-effective response to the rise of sustainability agendas across all retail sectors.

So, as we begin to embrace a post-pandemic future, the team at Nuttall are doing so genuinely transformed. We look different, but that’s the tip of the iceberg – we also feel different as we face our future with focus and excitement.

We’re raising our game across the board – We’re investing in our people and our facilities. We’re empowering improved customer choice, thanks to the blend of in-house manufacturing operations and our international supply chain organisation. We’re continuing to excel at supporting client requirements from cradle to grave and at every stage in between. So if you’re a retailer looking to optimise project value end-to-end in your interior upgrades, I’d love the opportunity to demonstrate to you that Nuttall really is – all you need.

The trusted expertise you can rely on.
